Defi.money is officially live to the public! Establishing a new era of money throughout Ethereum Layer 2's… starting with Optimism!
One of the core tenets of defi.money is ushering in a new digital era of value transfer across the EVM with L2s as the bedrock of this vision. Given Optimism's efficiency, interoperability, and speed, it'll be a cornerstone on our journey to create a truly decentralised stablecoin designed for the needs of a multi-chain future.
While defi.money is EVM agnostic and can launch on any chains in seconds, we decided to start with Optimism as a root chain for a few reasons 👇

As the OP Superchain ecosystem expands, so will defi.money - as we can grow like mushrooms and are committed to expand and make defi.money widely available throughout the Superchain. So we will grow hand and hand, and flourish with each ecosystem. To be specific, our eyes are on Base, Mode, Fractal, Zora and more, to be added throughout Fall 2024 - which are all part of the SuperChain ecosystem.
$MONEY will serve as the value transfer nexus point, for the entire SuperChain.
2) SuperChain Interoperability
Superchain interoperability is a game changer for all dApps within the OP stack, defi.money included. The native network dissolves barriers offering users more seamless asset transfers between ecosystems, allowing us to rethink how we build applications without switching between chains, fully revamping and streamlining the user experience for today's DeFi user.
We believe in a future where a large portion (if not a majority) of users and economic activity will move to Layer 2 networks. The continued growth of the Superchain will provide an interconnected ecosystem where users and assets can seamlessly traverse between ecosystems, unifying liquidity between OP Stack rollups.
